Engineered around the complete product flow

A delta robot can deliver very rapid, low-mass motion across a wide overhead work envelope. The highest rates depend on a balanced system that keeps products visible, separated and available for picking.

Typical uses include loading primary or secondary packaging, sorting mixed product streams, grouping items, feeding downstream machinery and placing food or consumer products into trays. Three-axis platforms suit direct transfer, while additional rotational axes can orient products during the move.

Robot speed cannot compensate for an unstable infeed. We review belt speed, product spacing, queue depth, camera field of view, pick window, downstream capacity and what happens when a product cannot be picked. Simulation and representative product trials help establish a realistic rate and the number of robots required.

One complete system, ready for your line

You receive one complete system covering product presentation, end-of-arm tooling, sensing, controls, safeguarding and operator access. The cell is proved against your real production task, not selected from a headline robot specification.

What determines success

What defines a reliable production cycle.

The robot is selected after the complete moving payload, work envelope, presentation and interfaces are understood.

Pick window

Conveyor speed and available tracking distance determine how long each product remains reachable.

Vision & lighting

Consistent contrast, exposure and calibration are needed to locate products at production speed.

Tool recovery

Fast vacuum confirmation and controlled release help protect cycle time and product quality.

Line balance

Buffering and downstream availability are designed so the cell can recover from normal variation.

Integrated cell scope

Everything needed to make the robot work in production.

Your cell can include every element needed to achieve the required output and connect reliably with the rest of your line.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about delta pick-and-place robots.

Use these answers to compare options; your product, rate and production conditions determine the final recommendation.

How fast can a delta pick-and-place system run?

The achievable rate is application-specific. Product spacing, travel distance, orientation, grip time, release time, conveyor speed and downstream availability must all be included. We confirm a realistic rate after application review and trials.

Can a delta robot rotate a product?

Yes, where a rotational axis is included. Some parallel robots also provide additional axes for tilting or more complex orientation changes.

Can delta robots track randomly positioned products?

Yes. A vision system can detect product position and orientation, while an encoder synchronises picks to conveyor movement.

Are delta robots suitable for food handling?

They can be, subject to product-contact materials, cleaning method, environmental rating and the hygiene design of the whole cell. These requirements should be defined at the start of the project.
